Web Pages

shoplittleredschoolhouse.com – a client website that mirrors it’s sister site Distinctions (below) and coded by me. Logo was also designed by me.

pasroofing.com – a client website designed and coded by me.

recyclemorelinncounty.com – Our first internal agency client site, design by Seth Smith, HTML & CSS done by myself.

ShopDistinctions.com – Our internal agency’s second client site. Design by Seth Smith. HTML & CSS done by myself, web-development support provided by Matt Thiessen.

Color Web Printers – This is a redesign of the original site. Incorporates an image slider provided by Web Developer Erin Oppy.

Advertise With Us – The Gazette and KCRG advertising information site. Design by Seth Smith.

My Green Gazette – This page was designed by a co-worker, Seth Smith, in Photoshop. I disassembled it into pieces then coded it into a WordPress template. I located a template that matched the layout and replaced the guts. It has since been re-sized to fit an iframe on a vendor site.

Our Work, Creative Services – Our temporary agency portfolio showcasing some of our best work.

Rising Above – a website our agency created for the Czech Museum to keep visitors informed on the Flood of 2008 and it’s recovery progress. Visit the museum to view the site.
Design by Seth Smith, coded by me in collaboration with Web Developer Erin Oppy.

KCRG’s Mother’s Day Kitchen Giveaway Contest – splash page to enter contest. Designed and coded by me.

Iowa Bridal Planner – This was an existing site that I “freshened up”. I redesigned the header and changed the color scheme then altered the html and css.

Iowa Bridal Planner – A new look for 2010! Design concept came from my co-worker Tara. I incorporated the design into the website. Follow the link to see the 2011 design.

Bridal Planner Expo – A registration page I helped design and code.

Why Subscribe – This is the third web site I built after training. I learned about div tags during this time from my coworker and mentor.

Gazette Classifieds – I helped design the look of this site and coded the pages. It never actually went live because during it’s creation we switched to a different host environment.

Gazette Food & Recipes – Another site I designed and coded. It was live for about a year before switching to a different host site.

Explore – This was sort of a companion to the Explore magazine. It ran for a short while in 2009 and promoted Wine Tours and Summer Events. I designed the look in Photoshop and then coded it.

The College Guide is an annual magazine printed by The Gazette. This year’s design was put together by a co-worker, Bryan Wilger. I pulled his design together into a micro-site.

Corridor Careers 2008 – The first redesign of the site. Designed and coded by myself.

Corridor Careers Employment Guide – One of the products offered during the first redesign was the Employment Guide. Along with coding the site I designed the Employment Guide logo.

Corridor Careers Area Links – Another section of the first redesign was a page of links to area businesses. What you see is only a fraction of the links on this page. It was very extensive and exhausting to code.

Corridor Careers Career Fair 2009 – The first career fair pages I put together. (Just before the second redesign.)

Welcome Home – This is a sub-page of CorridorCareers.com promoting job searches for military folks coming back to the Corridor. I designed it in Photoshop and coded it onto WordPress page.

Career Fair – another sub-page of CorridorCareers.com promoting the annual career fair at Kirkwood. The design in the sub-header was pulled from a print campaign designed by a co-worker, Tara Ellison and modified by me to fit the online promotion. The “Job-Seeker” and “Employer” sub-headers within the body were designed by me.

Corridor Careers info pages – This is the main landing page of the career site info pages. It coded it on a WordPress template. The logo on the left in the header was designed by Tara Ellison. I took the logo and built a header around it then applied the color scheme to the css.

Corridor Careers job search – These pages are hosted and developed by JobNetwork. The only thing I did was set up the header and navigation code for them.

Newspapers In Education – This is another microsite I designed and coded in Silverpop Engage. Follow the link to see the 2011 design.

Penny Saver Guide – One of the first sites I designed and coded after completion of HTML and CSS training.

Subscriber Loyalty Program – This is a micro-site I designed in Photoshop and coded in Silverpop Engage. Coding micro-sites in Engage is as strict as the e-newsletters. Neither recognize tags like “background-image” or “z-index” and the like. You have to get very creative on making things work.

Iowa Parade of Homes – I designed this one in Photoshop and coded it on a WordPress template.

Hawkeye Bowl Game – This site is usually active during Hawkeye football season. The only thing I did on here was design the header and place it in the HTML.

Iowa Football History – I designed and coded this football history search page.

Hawkeye Bowl Game – I was tasked with designing a header for this site that was live during the Outback Bowl of 2009.

This is a background skin I designed to go on the Big Ten football contest web page. It is 2000 pixels wide and will be a fixed image. Which means (for those who don’t know) the image will stay right where it is while the middle content scrolls up and down.

Corridor Careers Job Fair – These were some specs I came up with for a future job fair but they ended up not getting used. The background image is fixed. The middle scrolls and has an alpha transparency applied to the background color.

Our Health Our Interests – This was a site the client wanted put together to mirror the content of a printed insert. I designed the header graphics and coded it.

Deutsche Piraten – When I was going through HTML/CSS training they encouraged us to build a practice site. I used my basic code training to put together this site for my band in 2007.

Header and footer that I designed and wrote the html/css for in a self-service portal for the printed Gazette newspaper.
